Half-Term Hoohar

Half-Term kicked off with Valentine's day. I decided who needs boys when you've got a box of chocolates and a DVD. I snuggled up in bed pressed play and munched away on some very delicious strawberries & cream choccies.

The weekend commenced and I spontaneously decided on Saturday to go and get a piercing with two of my friends, I had my ears pierced when I was 9 so I decided to get my seconds (ears again) done. I now have two piercings in each ear. Sunday approached and the housework was left in my hands. Once I'd done all the jobs that needed doing I made myself a snack of strawberries with some natural vanilla yogurt, which I must say was very yummy and was devoured in minutes.

Half-Term officially rolled in on Monday. The Cinema seemed like the perfect place to be considering the weather was wet and miserable, typical of England. With two tickets to see Endless Love and a regular Popcorn in hand (my treat!) my mom and I found our seats and waited for the trailers to roll. During the film, I fell more and more in love with Alex Pettyfer (that man is gorgeous!) The character he plays is an absolute sweetheart despite his broken past.

On Tuesday I began some of my work that I'd been set. This pretty much consisted of making notes, reading text books and planning essays. Once I'd finished a good chunk of work I grabbed the City of Bones DVD from the stack on my shelf and popped it into the DVD player. After watching the film, I carried on making a few more notes to my essay plan before calling it a day and reading more of a book my English teacher gave me after recommending I read it.

Wednesday equaled Brit Awards which called for a happy Megan! The Award show didn't start until 8pm (Red Carpet at 7pm) so, I made more notes and another essay plan. Being home alone I also took the opportunity to take some 'selfies' as we call it nowadays, whilst sporting a floralish crop top and some very comfy yoga pants. When the clock hit 7pm ITV2 was flashing on my TV screen and the 'best dressed, worst dressed' game began. At 8pm sharp, I made my way downstairs into the living room to watch the main event alongside my mom and dad. As the night went on, comments were made about what people were wearing, whether we agreed or disagreed on who won what award and laughing when Harry Styles ran on stage late to collect his award alongside One Direction, as he was too busy weeing!

Thursday crept in and I decided to Instagram a picture of the makeup products I used that day. When my mom returned home from work we went and did the food shopping. Three supermarkets later all of the food was unpacked and we then had to come to the conclusion of what we were going to have for tea and even though the cupboards were now stocked up with food, we still couldn't decide what we wanted to have. Typical!

Friday, my day of relaxation. Company magazine in hand, a mug of tea, some new Cadbury chocolate and I was prepared for the day ahead. Pretty much consisting of reading, watching Jeremy Kyle, drinking more tea and sitting in bed. I can safely say I enjoyed myself. Then, after doing my third workout of the week (A Davina Mcall DVD) I ran myself a nice hot bubble bath and had a good soak. I then spent my night watching TV and messaging my friends.

After a lovely lie-in a trip into town was taken, and the obligatory stop at Starbucks was squeezed in too. The smell of coffee really does awaken my senses. Skinny Caramel Macchiato's all round and an array of different cakes and pastries, it certainty was a feast! A Chinese take-out was on the cards for tea, followed by The Voice before we welcomed the return of Saturday Night Takeaway back into our humble aboad. To finish off the night, I snuggled up in bed, watched some TV and soon nodded off to sleep engulfed in a warm and welcoming duvet.

As of now, It's Sunday and I'm sat here writing this blogpost whilst waiting for my Sunday Roast (Mom's are the best) to finish cooking. Today has consisted of finishing off my book, blogging, eating and re-blogging posts on Tumblr. This evening shall be no different, eating, watching TV and relaxing, all in preparation for a 7:15am start tomorrow as Sixth Form returns.

Hope you all enjoyed half-term, what did you all get up to?

Speak to you all soon

January Favourites!

So, we've jumped out of one month and straight into another. Hello February! Since Christmas, the January sales and my birthday I've tried out many different products

L'Oreal Paris Studio Line #TXT Volume Supersizing Spray:
With this product being sold out for nearly the whole of January, the second I saw it on the shelf in Boots I grabbed a can and stuck it in my basket. I first heard about this product when Zoella, mentioned it in her November Favourites video last year. This products claims to give back-combed volume & instant matte texture and that's exactly what it does, and all with out the harshness on your hair of back-combing with a brush. Not only that, but it also smells amazing too! And for only £3.79 who can complain, an amazing product for an amazing price, a must have for all you back-comb lovers out there!

EOS Lip Balm - Summer Fruit:
Unfortunately, in the UK we can't buy EOS (Evolution of Smooth) products. But, my lovely pen-pal Caitlin sent me one over (what a babe) in a Christmas Package. I love this lip balm to pieces, it has literally become my savior product during the cold chilly month of January. It's smells and tastes so yummy and it doesn't feel sticky on your lips like some lip balms can, if you do live in the UK can want to try this out, Amazon sometimes sells some for a fairly reasonable price and sometimes sells them where you can get all of the flavours for around £7-£9 which is pretty cheap for all 6-7.

Revlon Colour Burst Lip Butter - 080 Strawberry Shortcake:
I don't know where I've been for the past few months, but I must've been under a rock, how have I never discover these little beauty's before?! Whilst in Boots the other week there was a 3 for 2 offer across pretty much the whole of the make-up section, and this was one of the colours that I chose. It's a very barbieish sort of pink but when you apply it looks a lot paler, so you won't need to worry about looking like a Barbie doll! It has been my go to lipstick this month and fits in perfectly with my everyday makeup look and it's even perfect enough to wear to Sixth Form to add a pop of colour to my lips. A definite must have for lipstick lovers out there.

Juicy Couture Perfume - Noir:
Since opening this Christmas morning, it has been my go to perfume. I wore it throughout the last days of December and throughout the WHOLE of January, I absolutely love it! I would definitely say it's become my staple scent. The packaging is gorgeous consisting of a pink bottle with a black bow to finish it off. I think, in general, my favourite brand of perfume is Juicy Couture, all the perfumes are just really sweet and girly and definitely up my street, I shall be saving up to buy a full size bottle!

Benefit It's Potent! Eye Cream:
This has to be one of the best eye creams that I've ever tried, I got the sample size in a set for Christmas. I use it every night and I still have around half the pot left, all I do is take my ring finger (the softest) scoop up a little bit of the product and pat it under my eye until it's all soaked in. It works wonders and really help to right the bags that you get under eyes due to lack of sleep or stress, it also helps to brighten your eyes up and makes you look more awake. I love this eye cream because not only is it a miracle product but it also smell like Bailey's, I shall definitely save up to buy the full size pot.

L'Oreal Paris Mega Volume Miss Manga Mascara:
Whilst helping my mom do the food shopping in Tesco's a few weeks back, this product caught my eye. Modeled by the beautiful Barbara Palvin, this new mascara has a very Kawaii, Japanese theme to it. With an introductory offer of £5.99 (usually £8.99) who could resit? So, with this gorgeous looking mascara set in my sights, I picked one up whilst in Boots the following weekend. Before I picked up this mascara I used the Benefit They're Real mascara, and I have to say this is a very close dupe for a fraction of the price! This is definitely on my re-purchase list.

Maybelline Baby Skin:
I did a full review of this product last week here but it's one of the best primers that I've tried. Although, it's a silicone primer it may not be some peoples cup of tea but, I really find it helps to keep my make-up on for longer and stops it melting off my face during the day. At £7.99 it's a good drugstore primer and will absolutely be on my re-purchase list!

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo:
I first heard about this product through YouTube ad's where Ruth (amodelreccomends) and Tanya Burr spoke about how much they loved this product. I received a sample size in the post and good golly miss molly I love it, I purchased the full size product in the Winter sales when it had about 1/3 off it, I also got a voucher for £2 off when I received the sample size so I used that to which meant I bought this for around £7 instead of about £13. I love this product as it helps to keep your skin clear and it helps to remove any under skin spots that you might have, leaving your skin feels smooth and fresh. It's a holy grail product for sure!

Soap & Glory Body Buttercream - Sugar Crush:
Summer in a tub, I love love love this product to pieces. Not only does it smell amazing but it feels amazing on the skin too, in my opinion it smells like Suncream, Mojito's and the beach, the perfect holiday combination! It soaks into the skin really quickly so you're not sat around for ages wrapped in a towel waiting for it to soak in, it leaves your skin feeling soft and smelling lush. This products fits in well when I use the Sugar Crush body wash and the scrub before as it preps the skin ready for moisturiser leaving the skin feeling extra smooth.

So that's all for my January Favourites, what have been your go to products this month?

Until next time, goooood byeeeeee!

Sunday Walks Avec Ma Mère Et Mon Père

This afternoon, Mom, Dad and I took the opportunity to dig out the wellies and take a trip riverside to go on a lovely Sunday walk. We stopped for some Tea and Toast first before deciding what route to take, as the river had risen quite high we came to the conclusion that the best way to go was through a field! Although, it was still rather wet and muddy. I took my camera with me (or should I say Mom's camera) and snapped a few pics, to capture the chilly walk we went on.

Until next time, goodbye!
