Recipe: Malteaser Bunny Brownies

Made by Moi!

A really simple brownie recipe - just measure all the ingredients into a bowl and give it a good mix! Be careful not to overcook your brownies: they should have a slightly gooey texture. The outside should be on the crisp side though.

Ingredients-

275g (10oz) softened Butter
375g (130z) caster Sugar
4 large eggs
75g (30z) cocoa powder
100g (4oz) self-raising flour
100g (4oz) plain chocolate chips
1x pack of Malteaser Bunnies

Recipe-

1 Pre-heat the oven to 180'C/Fan 160'C/Gas 4. Grease a 30 x 23 cm (12 x 9 inch) traybake or roasting tin then line the base and sides with baking parchment.

2 Measure all the ingredients into a large bowel and bear until evenly blended. Although, I like to fold the flour and cocoa power in last as I've found that makes the brownies much nicer after they've cooked and it helps to keep the air in the mixture and that helps to make them gooey inside. Spoon the mixture into the prepared tin, scraping the sides of the bowl with a plastic spatula to remove all of it. Spread the mixture gently to the corners of the tin and level the top with the back of the spatula.

3 Bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes or until the brownies have a crusty top and a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Cover loosely with foil for the last 10 minutes if the mixture is browning too much. Once the brownies begin to cool, cut into squares of however many you'd like and begin to place the bunnies onto each square and let them melt into the brownie. Leave them to cool and then store in an airtight tin.

4 Ta-dah! You've finished, now go and enjoy the delicious treat you've just made (once it's cooled or you'll burn you tongue!)
